Waitawheta Hut is a 26-bunk, shared-occupancy hut in the Kaimai Range, with a campsite alongside. DOC does not provide cooking facilities, so bring your own stove and utensils.
Waitawheta Hut is booked through DOC's online booking system. When someone cancels, the bunk or campsite goes straight back on sale with no notice. We check DOC's booking system around the clock and alert you the moment one opens up for your dates.
