Te Ara Pātaka/Summit Walkway crosses Banks Peninsula with views over the Canterbury Plains, the Southern Alps and the Pacific. Packhorse Hut and Rod Donald Hut are the two shared-occupancy huts along it. DOC notes sections of the track may close between August and October.
