Remutaka Forest Park

Remutaka Forest Park offers sole-occupancy huts and lodges in the Ōrongorongo Valley: Jans Hut, Boar Inn, Papatahi Hut, Haurangi Hut, Raukawa Lodge and the rooms of Turere Lodge. DOC notes that river-crossing skills are essential to reach Jans, Boar Inn, Papatahi and Raukawa, and that plans may need to change if the river is in flood.
